How To Visit the Fountain of Youth With Me

The Crux of the Program: Good Nutrition, HGH, EPO, Insulin, and Testosterone

Jennie: I'd love to see a MAGIC pill for youth, some day.

Hello Jennie...

Everybody would like to see a MAGIC PILL for youth some day... Everybody would like to visit the Fountain of Youth... pay at the front desk, jump in, and you're done: you are young and will stay young forever.

Unfortunately, it is a little more complicated than that. I am convinced that The Fountain of Youth does exist, and I think I visit (or close by) every day. But to really visit the Fountain of Youth it takes a special effort every day, every hour of the day, and almost nobody is willing to do everything that we can do, including, not me.

But I make an effort, sometimes, so I can say all things plus and minus, I have probably visited the Fountain of Youth.

For example... I know that DRY AIR is bad for the skin, and I KNOW that humid air is good for the skin... I have a humidifier, but I don't usually turn it on because it is too much trouble to fill it with water every few hours. I know that Retin-A is very good for the skin, but I don't put Retin-A on my skin 364 days of the year, and maybe I use it once a year.

But what I really am a fanatic about is using my dose of growth hormone every day, and insulin before and sometimes after I eat. I really do take this seriously. And it is not as difficult as filling the humidifier with water every few hours, or putting on Retin-A every night. (putting on Retin-A is not so difficult, but I haven't gotten into the habit of doing it.)

The Fountain of Youth exists, but you can't visit it unless you make an effort all day, every day.

Number one ticket, most important anti aging therapy of all is: EAT CORRECTLY... Good Nutrition...

That doesn't only mean eat enough protein and vitamins and minerals and fiber... It also means giving up BREAD and RICE and CORN and BREAKFAST CEREALS, and SUGAR... and Candies, and marmalades, and cookies...

And I mean it, REALLY GIVE IT UP... Some people can't believe me when they eat with me... I eat a hamburger with no bread, and no potatoes. I don't drink normla soft drinks. Suppose I leave 100 grams of bread on the plate, (50 grams carbs, according to the Carbohydrate Thermometer) and I leave 100 grams (or more) of french fries... that is at least another 25 grams of carbs... and another 25 grams in the normal soft drink I didn't drink.

I left 100 grams of carbs I left on the table, that didn't get into my body. That is really very good... but then... I might have dessert... fruit... or let's say, chocolate ice cream... that's 25 grams of carbs...

O.k., that's bad, but 25 grams of carbs is not as bad as if I had eaten 100 grams of bread and potatoes and soft drink and ON TOP OF THAT, 25 grams of chocolate ice cream!

"HOT," alone, is not as bad as EXTREMELY HOT + HOTTER...

And then... the second most important anti aging therapy is hormone replacement... and the single most important hormone that I use in my opinion, believe it or not, is INSULIN, again, because it helps me to keep my glucose levels controlled. It is a part of the "Eat Correctly" most important therapy, because it helps me to be able to eat that dessert, which I probably wouldn't eat if I was really Diabetic Type I... or "I won't eat" when I am a Diabetic Type I, (after age 100, perhaps, if I live that long.)

If Dr. Thomas Perls and Jay Olshansky and company manage to make growth hormone very difficult to get legally in the United States for anti aging, a few years or months later it might be very difficult to get in Mexico too... In that nightmarish case, I will still be a step ahead because I hope I will always be able to buy at least INSULIN in Mexico. Insulin is the least expensive and also the most important hormone to use correctly, if you need it.

I know how to use INSULIN, and I THINK I need it, and I AM ABSOLUTELY CERTAIN it helps me control my glucose levels... So that should keep me in better health in my lifetime than if I did not control glucose for the next 30 years, starting NOW.

And THE NEXT most important hormones, all extremely important, are GROWTH HORMONE, TESTOSTERONE (estrogen/progesterone for women), and EPO. Interesting but not earth shaking, in my opinion, are melatonin and DHEA and pregnenolone. As much as I read about the importance of melatonin and DHEA and pregnenolone and other hormones, they are not as DRAMATIC in their benefits as "the big four" HGH (Serostim or Humatrope), Testosterone, EPO, and Insulin. I take them, but I'm not so sure what their benefits are, perhaps because I also take HGH and testosterone, and the benefits overlap.

The bottom line is: I don't care where my energy comes from, I don't care why I am well sexually, I don't care why my hair continues to grow thick and with its own color, I don't care why my skin is tight and looks good... I just care that my program works for me, so I take DHEA and melatonin and pregnenolone, also.

So... Is the Fountain of Youth attainable if you Eat Correctly, Do Exercise, AND take HGH? Well... with that, you are probably going to get results, but you are barely dipping your toes into the Fountain of Youth.

If you want to really JUMP IN to your neck, you have to take care of glucose levels, too. That is an absolute MUST... Therefore, the importance of INSULIN, if you need it.

And you have to make certain your blood has enough red blood cells carrying OXYGEN, or you will lose your NERVOUS SYSTEM, which includes YOUR BRAIN... (red blood cells DECLINE with age... Doesn't this tell you something?)...

And the importance of the sexual hormones, testosterone or estrogen and progesterone is self explanatory.

And then there are the nice extra touches, like Thermage, Botox, EDTA Chelation, and hyperbaric oxygen...

I really like hyperbaric oxygen, but since I began to maintain my red blood cells at 54% hematocrit with EPO (which places me in the top 1% of the normal population,) I stopped taking hyperbaric oxygen, because the place where I took it is far away from my home, and I lose too much time to take each session... and I THINK some of the benefits are pretty similar to what I get with EPO... but I am really convinced hyperbaric oxygen is a tremendous help for the nervous system especially for anybody who has had damage to the nervous system caused by near-drowning, or hypoglycemia, or diabetes, or carbon monoxide poisoning, etc.

So, yes... the Fountain of Youth exists, but it isn't easy to get to it. You have to implement a good program to get you there. I follow my program, which you might have read, which I wrote down EIGHT YEARS AGO. I have been reporting on Rejuvenation and following it "pretty strictly" which may seem too ellaborate, but in fact it is not so difficult to do, and the benefits are worth the small trouble it takes to eat well and inject my hormones in the proper dose and at the proper time. Rejuvenation: My 8 Point Anti-Aging Program

The ONLY thing I have changed of my program in eight years is that I know better what I mean by "eat correctly"... today, I check my glucose levels, which I didn't have any clue about eight years ago... I used to eat high carb-low fat... Today my glucose meter tells me that "eat correctly" for me means: "low carbs - high protein"...

I suggest everybody should have a glucose meter and you should prove to yourself what happens when you eat one food or another. (I like the Roche Accutrend Sensor...)

It is basically, eat correctly, every time, every day... and take care of glucose... and take my dose of injectible HGH every day... and my dose of testosterone once in a while... and take my maintainance dose of EPO about once a month to keep my red blood cell level up in the top 1% of the normal population.

I have also taken about 40 EDTA Chelations, and about a dozen sessions of hyperbaric oxygen, and I have tried Botox and Thermage, both of which I like very much... particularly Thermage because it causes a regrowth of collagen, which is reversing a sign of aging...

And I have tried apitherapy (bee sting therapy) and various other therapies that I have not been especially impressed with.

With this, I don't care what Jay Olshansky and Thomas Perls say, I think I have a younger body and mind than other 60 year old men who have not yet visited the Fountain of Youth.
