Red blood cells carry OXYGEN... Oxygen is necessary for each cell in our body to burn, which gives us energy. So body energy is directly related to the amount of red blood cells running through our veins, and EPO raises red blood cells, so EPO raises energy. 3) Testosterone... is the male hormone... it is also found in women, to a lesser degree... Testosterone is directly responsible for muscle mass. Body builders who inject testosterone have an enormous increase in muscle mass and strength, which I think might also affect energy. 4) Insulin lowers blood glucose because it opens the cells to store blood glucose. Glucose is the energy that the human body uses in each cell, so if the glucose is outside of the cell it cannot be utilized... it must get into the cell, and insulin allows it to get into the cell. So insulin increases body energy because it increases the utilization of blood glucose. Other ways to increase energy include taking vitamins, hyperbaric oxygen, and keeping the circulatory system clean through EDTA chelation.
