There is so much information available on the Internet concerning rejuvenation and growth hormone, some of it conflicting with other, that it becomes a problem to know who to believe. The really good sites get lost in a mass of static, commercial messages, and misinformation. I have chosen the following sites as my essential guides, because I agree with and trust the information they discuss. I am sure there are other good sites, but these are some of the best sites and essays that I have found on the Internet. I consult these and can recommend them to others to learn more about anti-aging therapies and treatments: These are my 25 pages referring to Rejuvenation or AntiAging or Growth Hormone or Life Extension. He also has extensive information on growth hormone (and other hormone) replacement therapy. Read these interesting posts by Dr. Cranton to the Rejuvenation newsgroup: Interpretation of IGF-1 tests, and other posts What happens when you stop taking growth hormone? What about counterfeit growth hormone? In your opinion, how many years have you rejuvenated? Will growth hormone help an unknown tumor to grow? How many of your patients...etc.? Speakers are giants of the caliber of Dr. Denham Harman, originator in the 1950's of "The Free Radical Theory of Aging" which started a Revolution in anti-aging; Dr. Ward Dean author of basic books such as "The Neuro-Endocrine Theory of Aging," "Smart Drugs" and "GHB the Natural Mood Enhancer"; Professor Joseph Knoll, who discovered the neuro-transmitter dopamine which became the basis for the treatment of Parkinson's disease, and who developed Deprenyl, which is the first proven life extension therapy to protect the brain; and James South, Dr. Jonathan Wright, Dr. Dharma Singh Kahlsa, and too many others to list here. Cognitive Enhancement Research Institute has extensive articles on Deprenyl, Melatonin, DHEA, deseases such as Down's Syndrome, Alzheimer's, and Parkinson's, and various "Smart Drugs".The Longevity Report is published in England, and contains a lot of interesting articles on vitamins and supplements and medicines, and even cryogenics and other futuristic life extension methods. (ISBN 0-06-098434-1) This book contains graphs, charts, examples, doses, and other information about growth hormone, and to a lesser degree about the other hormones that decline with age. It is invaluable to me. I have read it or consulted it at least 30 times, and I have bought an extra copy to lend to my friends and family. You can find this book on any on-line bookstore, or through The American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine. (see above) The Physicians Guide to Life Extension Drugs, by The Life Extension Foundation. This book contains a lot of information on vinpocetin, deprenyl, DHEA, melatonin, hydergine, centrophenoxine, retin-a, acetyl-L-carnitine, and many other very interesting medicines which can help in a life extension program. Here you will find some technical introductory notes about the Pituitary gland, Growth Hormone, and the Growth Hormone Axis. I am sometimes asked if growth hormone might not increase the risk of cancer. The answer is found in the study found here of 749 patients that took long term growth hormone replacement therapy: there was no increase in risk of prostate cancer or any other kind of cancer. Read the February 16, 2000 Larry King Live interview with actor Nick Nolte who has a personal rejuvenation program very similar to mine, and who also claims to have excellent results. The interview is interesting because of the opposing opinion of health guru Dr. Andrew Weil of the University of Arizona, whose view is summed up in this statement: "Aging is a natural process. It is something all of us do. I don't think it's wise to set ourselves up in opposition to that. I don't think it's wise to try to reverse aging, to stop it. In my opinion, the goal is to adapt to it, to learn how to age gracefully and successfully." I wish Dr. Weil good luck, and I hope he ages gracefully... but I think I have a better plan... I am going to stay young gracefully if I can... and I know I can because I am doing it.
